Passion
Wendy Raimi & Jacqi
McKinney
Smooth and soft, cold and hard
A blast of sour grape into your mouth
While the cackling of the disturbed ring in your ears.
An orchestra plays lightly in the back
While the smell of strawberry rose tingles your nose.
A green circle dances before you
As you wonder how you got into such a place.
It is the land of humanity
And no one, so far, has escaped.
You run, you prance, you sing and dance
While you laugh and cry the sweet success of being alive.
The cold, smooth, hard surface of a green circle of marble.
The sour taste in your mouth can only tell you
That this will not last forever.
The beauty of humanity is that of a fairy.
The moment you glance it will keep a stance
And suddenly you no longer see the beauty.
There are moments of peace
Moments of delicious sin and moments
That will stay forever in the hearts
Of those who live in humanity.
