Grecian Holiday
The light streams down from the sky a new day has arrived morning breaks like shattering plates and moon drops stop the falling
Each quarter note in the celestial chorus is replaced with whole rests until Apollo’s chariot reconvenes the choir
Iris follows her cousin thru the sky Day may be here but it is hiding and seeking She captures the droplets the tears of an unknown god washes her hair and spreads out her towel showing a promise known for thousands of years.
A day goes by full of happiness and tears People playing, children screaming life and death continues baking bread, reaping harvest Conquests go on.
Horses race across the sky silver studs sparkle bright Night has come and now to sleep the day has yet to come
